
Kyna Leyva
Kyna is one of our newest team members here at CCK. Welcomed as a Tax Manager in December of 2011, Kyna has been working in the accounting sector since graduating with her Accounting degree from Oral Roberts University in 2001. Along with managing projects, one of Kyna’s main roles as a tax manager is to serve and equip her teammates so they are better able to serve our clients. As part of our employee spotlight, we asked Kyna a few questions to learn a bit more about her.
What is your favorite aspect of your job?
A: Watching a client's sigh of relief because they have faith in your knowledge and they know ‘it’s gonna be ok.’
What is your favorite thing about being a part of the CCK team?
A: The care for clients and care for the people of CCK. It exudes from the culture.
Without using traditional accounting language, explain what you do at CCK in one sentence.
A: I use my expertise to help others, so they can spend their time and money on the things that matter most to them.
What is one of your favorite quotes?
A: “Joyful in Hope, Patient in Affliction, and Faithful in Prayer.” - Romans 12:12
It keeps me centered.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
A: Content & Wise
What’s the hardest thing you’ve ever done?
A: That would be what I’m currently doing: Raising my three girls. It is also the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done!

What is the last book you read? How long ago?
A: It's All Too Much by Peter Walsh. I read it about 4 months ago and I will tell you my house loves me for it!
What’s the #1 most played song on your iPod?
A: I’m not sure, but I it's probably something Kari Jobe or One Republic.
What chore do you absolutely hate doing?
A: Cleaning toilets...ugh it's the worst!!!
What’s your least favorite mode of transportation?
A: Prop planes... they are scary!
When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time?
A: Free time? I forget what that is? Seriously though, I would probably just fill it with one of the things I had not gotten around to doing.
What do you miss most about being a kid?
A: Sleeping in.
What is your favorite time waster? aka: If your waiting in line at the DMV what do you do to kill the time? (i.e. Facebook, Pinterest, video games, TV, knitting, solitaire, etc.)
A: Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and if i get bored with those, Angry Birds.
